fmp progression & testers
With these being just a few of the steps i've taken to get to my final images, it's taken a lot of time.
With wanting each persons view on love and those personal feelings, I spoke to each individual model of mine for this project and wrote down their thoughts, I then put each individual word in photoshop, making them different sizes and fonts, I was not able to create the original inspired look I wanted and had researched after trying so I had to come up with my own way of showing the text. Each person is still surrounded by the text like I had wanted, like they're being drown by their words just like I had wished for my theme so i'm happy with the outcome.

so far f.m.p
So far for this Image of one of my models Jake Doolin, I have edited the image on both iPiccy and Photoshop, I used iPiccy as well as Photoshop for the effects offered, I placed a grungey effect ontop of my image to fit the words he had given me and my theme, I've come up with the theme 'Outspoken by Love' I will stick with my typegoraphy but use it in a different way as to planned, the images will be based around how the person in the image feels about love but the image will show how they cannot stop their thoughts and feelings on love be heard, the butterflies in the image represent the way the person feels, they are also the thing stopping the person from having their thoughts heard.
This is my progress with Jake's image so far, I have three other models I plan to show their word in the same way and use butterflies differently in each image, I will then put the series of images horizontally together to show the different people and their different experiences and feelings.

FMP - Proposal
Typography
When coming up with an idea for final major project, in my head I had the idea of photos based on 'Judgement' People and what they are perceived as. I had the idea of a person holding a sign and being surrounded by people but the image focusing on them and what their sign says, the sign would have a describing word, a word that marks what they are perceived to be, peoples Judgement of that person.
When researching in to this idea I found it really hard to narrow down a search for this type of photography and found it difficult to find any similar photos. When looking for something like my idea I came across a headshot of a man with type all across his face almost looking melted into his skin, immediately attracted to the idea of this image I have decided to take inspiration from it and do something like this idea for my final major project.
I will be sticking to a theme of 'love' but still peoples perception, I will ask four different people what their opinion of love is, what they think it is and whatit does to them, I will then take a head shot of all them individually, some side on and some facing forward as for the people I place side on I will photograph them with their mouths open, as in editing I plan to place some butterflies in the pictures to relate it to love and the common butterfly emotion felt, for the people facing straight on I will place a butterfly over their mouth.
I will take the individual descriptions from the four mixtures of people and link them together, I will use a Black backdrop for each individual image, print them on A2 and then place them all together to make one long horizontal image. #

Music student photography, Evaluation
I was given a task to photograph a vocalist, Keeley Pratt, to come up with the ideas and create the overall feel and personality of this artist in an outdoor location image and also an inside shoot. When I first met up with Keeley to discuss ideas and understand what kind of artist she is she told me she likes simplicity, she wanted to show herself as a simple, elegant and glamorous character, for this I already had plenty of ideas as to what I could do to create her overall look in an image, suggesting a simple black dress for the shoot to both compliment the artist and show her as an elegant character definitely worked in my benefit, I was able to use a simple desk fan to make the dress blow and look glamorous like the client wanted, when discussing in feedback she was pleased with this and the way I had taken these photos in that way. Using a honeycomb light shining directly on the right side of the artist during the studio shoot created the exact lighting I was hoping for once edited, I only used two lights in the studio shoot, on location it was all natural light, this made it more of a task for me to find the perfect lighting that would compliment both the client and the overall photograph. When editing I added slight tints, in some more blue and others a more pink/purple, I done this because when researching a certain photographer I liked the most had done this in her photos I wanted to take inspiration from this and try it myself, it paid off and I was pleased with the overall outcome, my client was happy with her photos and said although she would have liked more studio shots the ones that were done were what she wanted.
